A great performance last night from our amazing actors and stage crew at Topsham Community Association - Matthews Hall. Thank you to everyone who came, and it was brillant to have a well known, well-connected international acting agent whom we are good friends with and some of our team are signed to, come to see everyones work amd scout our amazing new faces, whom she was most complimentary about. Some of our team have a few individual freelance gigs before Christmas, and we have some fundraising market stalls still to go, but overall SDP is now on Christmas break from shows and rehearsals until the new year when we will be back to Budleigh Salterton Public Hall and Stokenham Village Hall with Jekyll & Hyde and then casting for The Scarlet Pimpernel. We will continue to be fully active online as there is lots still to share with you, and to get ready for our 20th anniversary year and London debut. Well done to all of our amazing team this year and a huge thank you to all the lovely audiences who have supported us through 2025 <3

Jekyll & Hyde in Torquay- Last night we were thrilled to be on the next stage of our tour, to Torquay Royal Lyceum theatre in Torquay with Jekyll and Hyde. It was especially lovely that we welcomed several students to the audience who are studying the text for GCSE, coming to see our show to support their studies. Audience feedback, as reported by our two amazing ticket ladies Emily and Sue, was excellent . We now have a two week break before the next show in Exeter with lots of work going into prep for the next Jekyll & Hyde performances and also behindthe scenes work for our 20th anniversary and London debut show The Scarlet Pimpenel casting in January. PLEASE SHARE Just a reminder - with Christmas coming up and more post, please save your used stamps for our ongoing fundraising appeal. Brixham Library, the Crafty Cwtch cafe & Brixham Town Council all act as collection points for us here in Brixham - and if you are in Cornwall our friends at The Naked Sheep Hayle also act as a collection point, just drop them a line! It doesnt matter where the stamps are from (including common UK ones), or how old, they are all equally extremely useful and appreciated. Things like this really make it possible to keep doing what we do, albeit on a brutal shoestring, namely: - bringing classical literature, and history to life in touring shows suitable for all ages - creating opportunities for local people to launch or further careers in the creative industries - supporting other arts and creative ventures when possible in Torbay - being the living proof that people of all identities, backgrounds, and experience levels, can collaborate and achieve world class excellence in theatre and creativity. - demonstrating best practice in inclusion and ethical production methods on a national scale - streaming our work around the world. - and having an amazing time doing it!!!
