1920s Cabaret Auditions & Cast Information
Set in a 1920s cabaret club in the fashionable seaside holiday resort of Torquay, there is a clash of modern 1920s and traditional values, and a mystery to be solved. The performance venues will be set up as cabaret clubs.
Set in a 1920s cabaret club in the fashionable seaside holiday resort of Torquay, there is a clash of modern 1920s and traditional values, and a mystery to be solved. The performance venues will be set up as cabaret clubs.
Auditions for this show will be held at Chestnut Community Centre, 1-3 Poplar Close, Brixham, Devon TQ5 0SA, at 1pm 1- 3.30pm on Sunday June 15th 2014. Rehearsals will be held on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons at Chestnut Heights Community Centre. There is no cost whatsoever to audition. If you become involved in the production, we each contribute £1 per rehearsal towards the weekly hire of the rehearsal hall. All scripts and costumes etc are supplied free of charge. Show dates will be Sept 5th - 8th in Paignton, Torquay and Brixham. What we are looking for:
Actors, dancers, singers and any specialty themed acts. Actors will play a variety of club guests, some on holiday, and some local. Dancers, singers and specialty performers will be playing the roles of cabaret entertainers. All acts need to be suitable-for-all To audition, you will be asked, if an actor, to work from a play reading (script provided). If you are a dancer, singer, or speciality act, please bring an example performance of what you can do. It needs to fit in with the 1920s setting of the show.
