Free networking & social days

One of our new experiments for 2022 is to run meetups approximately once a month.
These sessions are open to everyone, regardless of whether you have been involved in the South Devon Players or not.
You can of course just turn up, or you can contact us ahead of time on southdevonplayers@gmail.com.
This is a friendly, no-pressure meetup. These sessions are free, and take place at a small family-run cafe; the Crafty Cwtch.
We do ask that you support the café where we meet by buying a coffee or other refreshment while you are there.

These sessions intended to serve two purposes.  The first is to provide a place where anyone interested in chatting about getting involved in theatre, can come along and meet together, informally.

The second is to have small  free round-table workshops and discussions, and creating small project groups, in additional creative and career skills; like (but not limited to): script analysis, preparing your online portfolios/ professional websites/ social media presence, making costumes and props, wellbeing and safety for creatives - decided by anything that people need help with, for their theatre careers, that we can cover around a table.

So that we can schedule each session's focus, it is useful if you can contact us and request anything you need help with so that we can ensure that the session is planned.

Session 2: plans

General friendly meetup, for one to two hours,
This will be for chatting about creating collaborative projects to build portfolios, networking, helping one another with portfolio building/ sorting out performance career things. People welcome of all levels of experience. It is free to come along though we do ask you to buy a cuppa or such because its in a small family-run cafe, and any people under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; and we have the basic ground rule is that it is a friendly, pleasant, supportive safe space for all.

Meeting on Saturday June 25th  at 1pm, at the Crafty Cwtch Cafe, 66 Middle Street, Brixham, TQ5 8EJ
