The Ashburton Arts Centre was originally a church, and has now been converted into a very adaptable performance space. At this venue, members of our theatre company touring team will also be welcoming audience members to attend, alongside staff from the venue.
Accessibility
Buying tickets: Tickets for shows by the South Devon Players here, can be purchased online from the Arts Centre, or can be bought on the door before the performance. Access to the auditorium: The auditorium is on the ground floor, this can be accessed from the front street. There is also disabled access for wheelchairs Wheelchair / mobility access: This venue has a wheelchair ramp through the side entrance and specific spaces for wheelchairs in the auditorium. Toilets: There are toilets available through the side entrance. Assistance dogs: Assistant dogs are welcome. Viewing the stage: The stage is flat, an the seats are raked in a slope looking down onto the stage. Seats: The theatre has comfortable upholstered cinerma seats Refreshments: The theatre has a bar at the front serving refreshments. Hearing loops: Please enquire with the theatre Smoking: the theatre does not permit smoking within the building, however audience members who wish to smoke in the interval often do so outside the entrance |
Local travel
Bus stop: There are bus stops close to the theatre for the 12 to Newton Abbot, Paignton & Brixham, and the stop for the local town/. These are both approximately one -two minutes walk away.
