! Its very rare that we get snow in Brixham - we don't get it for years on end - and unheard of that the town is brought to a halt by it (mainly because its so rare here that very few people are prepped for it). So, here, for posterity are some photos by Laura Jury of the snow in town
On a sunny summers day in Brixham, you are likely to see large fish swimming near the surface of the harbour. These are Grey Mullet. These fish enjoy warm brackish water and love to sunbathe. These fish can grow very large (you will see large ones in the harbour!) and can weigh up to 3kilos. In Latin, Mullet are known as the "Mugilidae" species.
